How can we pray about the Flu Epidemic?

According to the news, there is widespread flu activity across almost every state in the country. How can we defend ourselves against the flu? Can our prayer help stop the spread of the flu in our community and around the country?

Our best defense against the flu is in understanding that God, divine Love is All-in-all. That God is omnipresent and omnipotent. 

We read in the Bible, Psalm 91:

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. ... Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."
(Ps. 91:1, 2, 5, 6)

Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science wrote this:

"If only the people would believe that good is more contagious than evil, since God is omnipresence,... "

And come to our special meeting at church this Wednesday at 7:30 to hear an inspirational address on Why Love is contagious, and the flu is not. Also at this meeting, local church members will be invited to share how they have been healed of contagious diseases through prayer.
