"...Who am I, O Lord God?"

(II Samuel 7:18)

“Who am I?” states the Golden Text for this week. What does that have to do with the reality of sin, disease, and death? It gets to the question of whether man is an idea of Spirit or a material object. The opening statement from Science and Health is, “God does not cause man to sin, to be sick, or to die” (page 206). So we are talking about man as an idea of Spirit, an idea that is not born and does not die, but lives eternally as the image of God’s goodness and might.
