The purpose of Jesus' life is not to be worshipped from afar as some untouchable ideal. Science and Health (page 482) says: "Jesus was the highest human concept of the perfect man." He was the way-shower, demonstrating the qualities and abilities of man that all can understand and prove. By studying his words and works we learn more of our own identity as also made in God's perfect image.
