Man’s dominion over animals
"All of God’s creatures, moving in the harmony of Science, are harmless, useful, indestructible."
(Science and Health page 514)
Whether we are dealing with a rambunctious puppy, caring for a pet who is an old friend, or faced with a wild animal, we can always remember that God has given us dominion over all His creatures. As stated in Genesis, we know that they are all very good! Mrs. Eddy provides the spiritual interpretation of this verse from Genesis in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures on page 514, "All of God’s creatures, moving in the harmony of Science, are harmless, useful, indestructible." We can feel safe and confident expressing our God-given dominion in any situation we may find ourselves in. The following testimony from The Christian Science Sentinel illustrates how to put this understanding into practice.
We will be singing hymns 66, 460, and 58 from the Christian Science Hymnal.
